Red Knight Games was formed in 2011 but it wasn’t really until 2012 that the we as a team took off and started to make tracks. It is our goal to become successful and a well respected independent video game developer in Australia, as well as the world, that is known for its high quality of work and dedication to making unique and fun games with no barriers!
Meet the team
Gonzalo Araya – Task Tetriser & Mechanic
Gonzalo (the people call him Gonz) brings his expertise in project management and 2D art skills. His job is to make sure all the blocks fall into the right places at the right time during development and if not… start flipping tables! (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ Gonz came from a digital media and web design background before moving into 3D game art while at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment and eventually graduating in ’11. Gonz has managed to develop a wide skillset whilst still keeping his roots in traditional 2D art, which has been invaluable.
Sam Bell – Mech Pilot Programmer
Sam was one of the three original members who has been around since the beginning of it’s first inception back in 2011. Sam fills the role of programming where he has excelled at since graduating from the Academy of Interactive Entertainment in 2010. He got into games because of his passion to recreate games similar to the ones he played growing up. Games such as Shinning force, Ancient Land of Ys, Terranigma and Escape Velocity : Nova. Like anyone who finishes a favourite novel and wants more, Sam just wants to play and create more games.
Charles Hoang – Pixel Pensman
Charles was also one of the original three that started Red Knight Games back in 2011, where he came on as an art generalist for the team. He has always been interested in the digital medium, dabbling in Photoshop during High School and also working on 2D pixel art, taking inspiration from the Megaman X series. While Charles’s roots are with arcade games of the past he has developed a passion for modern games that provide a competitive edge which in turn fuels is passion for E-Sports. Something he would love to see grow globally and eventually be able to contribute to it.
